WHAT IS LOVE?

 Dear Ms Sneha,

Read both your poems, "Who Am I" & "Death of Love".

Are professors also such good expressionists ? That too, professors of engg colleges !

Amazing ! My heartiest compliments on giving words to such difficult emotions !

You should be joking when you said that you are not a serious writer. Your expressions are certainly of the serious most kind ! I am certain, these would force the super natural powers  to reconsider their disposition towards the mankind !

May God litsen to you !!

       Regards.

Partner Review

 Dear Ms Sneha,

Your comments on my review of `Partner' ! Thanks !

Talking of comedies by Salman, I am sure you would recollect the supercomic role by him in `Andaz Apna Apna' ! Do yopu remember ?

And there, the scene where he has been drugged by `Teelu'  [ Teelu, because this man (Aamir) was loacted by the girls on a `teela' (meaning a hillock) ] and he is required to rush to the bathroom every minute !! Oh, my God, those expressions !!!

Impossible to control one's laughter even at the thought of the scene !

It has been interesting to know your interests. What are your other interests ?

    Regards.
     anil sharma. Bhilai.

WHAT IS LOVE?

Dear  Ms Sneha,

Being a recent joinee of the `Sulekha', I'm sorry, I didn't know that you are such a prolific writer ! My heartiest compliments !!

Which one do you consider to be your best story, so far ? Please do let me have a link to it. What about poetry ? Do you write that too ?

With regards,
anil sharma.bhilai

RET HOON MAI

Dear Ms Nabanita,

Your name suggests that you should be a Bengali or an Assamese person. But the expressions in Hindi are so intense & appropriate that one would wonder if your mother tongue isn't Hindi !

My Compliments for your emotions !

You might have heard of Dr Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan's father. He has been  a great poet of his time ! He writes :

     "Hum deewanon ki kya hasti
>    The aaj yahan, kul wahan chale !
>      Masti ka aalam saath chalaa
>        Hum dhool udaate jahan chale !
>
>          Baadal bun kur bikhre the hum,
>          MIT AAJ CHALE UMDENGE KUL !"
>
>  Aur Dr Rajendra Mishra kehte hain :
>
>    "  Mera kya hai sukh ho dukh ho
>      Mun donon ka abhyaasi hai !
>
>      Aankhon ko poonam mile na mile,
>      Mun me to Pooranmasi hai !!"
>
>  Yehi darshan hai jeevan ka ! Hur haal me khush rehnaa hi jeevan hai !

     Please take care !

Audacity !

It's a Reply to Ms Vasavi Meda on her comments on my Blog

I feel concerened for we Indians ! Why are we the soft target ?

In July `05, I was taking an early  morning stroll in Princeton,New Jersey. Attired leisurely in my `long kurta' & Aligarhi pyjamas, I was not prepared for the strange incident that followed. I was taking a bit of a rest on a culvert when suddenly I was sorrounded by a number of police vehicles. They had all the troubling questions for me. Fortunately, I was carrying my pass port on me and they let me go ! But it left a vey bad scar on my psyche !!

Why we Indians are considered soft targets !

That's my concern !

Zindagi Bhar Nahi Bhulegi -- My Fav Song 23

Agreeing  entirely with `ixedoc' I would further add that the song was extremely well filmed on Madhubala & Bharat Bhushan ! Madhu was compared with Greek Goddesses and Bharat Bhushan ( hailing from Aligarh in Uttar pradesh) was a sobre & shy person.

One would nostalgically remember other movies of the duo like `Phagun' with immomerable songs of Lata-Rafi ( Ik pardesi mera dil le gaya .. .. ..; Peeya- peeya naa laage mora jeeya .. .. ..)

Thanking those who are associated with this movement of `keeping the gold' !

Touch me Not-Girls Boys Under Vigilance In Schools

Dear  Ms Kaul,

Nice seeing your reply with the most humble statement that you consider yourself just an involved daughter, wife and mother, reacting to occurrences and events around you as a concerned Indian citizen, contributing your 'drop in the ocean' in this sea of immense possibilities !

I have repeated the words to myself a number of times after reading them, and am getting more & more involved with the message they convey !  I wish your note could be sent  to our schools at Bhilai so that our young generation would not only be inspired to be creative in life but also be polite !

Kashmiris have fascinated me from my early days at school. I do not know if you are a Kashmiri by birth or by marriage, but I would love to tell you that I had Pt PN Kaul teaching us Biology ( from a book authored by himself ) in my High School. He & his family were, naturally, the most handsome & beautiful people in that small town and I was fortunate to have been close to the family !

Then my IIT days ! Prof (Dr) Kaul of Geophysics at Kharagpur was a legendry figure in all respects ! His persona lingers vividly in my memory till date ! It was in those beautiful days that I befriended Autar Kishan Kaul of Srinagar and visited him soon after my marriage ! Alas, Autar no more lives in Srinagar ( has been wandering !

One of the important personalities living at Bhilai is Mr AK Fotedar, one of our ex managing directors. By God's grace, he too is kind !!

I really do not know why I have been telling  all this to you ! Somewhere in my sub-concious there appears to be a desire that having been close to so many Kashmiris in life, would it really be happening that a personality like you would also be included in the list !!

`Sachiniti' - My compliments for the kind of `Niti' it propagates ! I am yet to get to know it in depth, but from what I have seen, it is appealing !

So long, till  hearing  from you.
Sincerely,
anil sharma.
